Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik expands its machine park - Inline machine for folding boxes increases capacity

The Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik in the Panther Group's display and packaging park in Wustermark is installing another inline machine, thereby creating the conditions for satisfying the continuously increasing demand for high-quality folding boxes. As part of the current investment program with a volume of more than 60 million euros, the additional machine fulfills the ability to deliver in this segment. The youngest inline system has a working width of two meters. The proven configuration of the Flexo Folder Gluer system forms the basis for the new investment. The combination of the three work steps of printing, folding and gluing in one machine is designed for efficient and high-quality production.

The experts at the plant have mastered the printing and finishing of folding boxes thanks to the know-how they have acquired over the years. The user-friendly, fully automated machine has the most modern technical equipment. These include, among other things, a creasing module that is separate from the die-cutting unit and a discharge unit and the glue seam control. Prefeeders, packing robots and camera controls complement the automation equipment for the entire line. All in all, it is possible to produce custom-fit, high-quality folding boxes in just one operation.

The fulfillment of customer requirements for maximum quality is further expanded with this investment. Energy efficiency and resource conservation are features of the system that are proven time and again in everyday work and meet the self-imposed goals of the Panther Group.
