Vitamins and minerals ready-made for retail shelves - Taxofit® uses Panther's service expertise

As part of the long-standing cooperation between the Klosterfrau Healthcare Group and the Panther Group, an extensive project in the field of packaging is currently being implemented, namely various Taxofit® products for several retail chains. For example, Panther supplies markets with mixtrays filled with vitamin and mineral preparations as defined by the customer. For other markets, different Taxofit® tablets are sorted into trays intended for this purpose.

The task for Panther Display GmbH & Co. KG includes printing the packaging blanks, laminating, punching, breaking out, erecting the tray and loading the packaging through to inserting filler pieces that are individually adapted to the product selection to avoid cavities.

The well-known Taxofit® vitamins and minerals go into the mixtrays: magnesium, folic acid, iron + folic acid and energy B12. A tray contains a total of 21 product units that vary in size.

The products manufactured by the Klosterfrau Healthcare Group are checked and documented at Panther Pharma Service, which specializes in services in the medical and pharmaceutical sector, by quality assurance and a qualified person in incoming goods. Particular attention is paid to the proper condition of the goods packages, for example whether they are properly sealed or whether products are damaged. The technically trained Panther staff then removes the products and prepares them for filling the trays.

All documentation corresponds to the GMP guidelines, this also continues with the batch and test reports over the entire packing line. Qualified personnel then erects the prepared trays, fills them according to customer specifications, inserts the filling pieces and seals the shipping units. These work steps are also consistently controlled: Weighing and camera systems on the project-related packing lines, which are structured according to type and batch, prevent products being mixed up or mixed up incorrectly. The entire working environment as well as the incoming goods inspection meets the hygiene requirements and is temperature-controlled, as stipulated by the GMP manufacturing license granted to Panther in accordance with § 13 AMG (Medicines Act).

In this way, Panther ensures customers from the pharmaceutical sector, as well as manufacturers of other areas of food supplements and cosmetics, consistently high product quality and compliance with the binding marketing requirements of the health authorities.

The extensive range of services offered by the Panther Group, especially in co-packing and packaging, includes not only shelf displays, trays and packaging, but also entire secondary placement systems. As the current example of cooperation with Nestlé for the market launch of the new pet food brand Lily's Kitchen in Germany shows, well-known branded goods manufacturers rely on the Panther Group's expertise in a wide variety of marketing strategies and PoS campaigns.
