Three new rotary die-cutters for Panther Packaging - More flexibility and capacity thanks to high-end die-cutting lines

The extensive package consists of state-of-the-art machines, the renewal of intralogistics systems and the expansion of production and storage capacities. It is already clearly having an effect. Because the goal of further increased flexibility and responsiveness as well as reliable production at the highest level of quality, which is linked to the investments, puts Panther Packaging in a position to master current and future challenges.

In August, further high-end stamping lines go into operation at the same time in three Panther Group plants, which strengthen the security of supply, reliability and capacity at the individual locations.

Despite the effects of the pandemic, we managed to complete all preparations for the installation of the new, fully automatic rotary die cutters at Altonaer Wellpappenfabrik, Südwestkarton and Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik with a working width of 2.40 m and 2.80 m on time. With these state-of-the-art die-cutting lines, the production of the entire range of crates, trays, shelf-ready and other die-cut packaging is covered for all industries. The systems are designed for maximum precision and have a high degree of automation. As additional elements, two of the systems have a prefeeder and a layer palletizer or a robot palletizer.

The technical equipment is aimed at production at a demanding level of quality, in which errors are largely ruled out or are recognized and corrected at an early stage by the control facilities. This has a positive effect on timely production and the entire logistics chain and thus on customer satisfaction.

All in all, the rotary punches enable even more flexible production and prompt delivery to customers. The higher capacities improve long-term security of supply and all specific customer needs for individual punching geometries, dimensional accuracy and product quality are met. Panther Packaging is thus expanding the manufacturing options for recyclable, environmentally friendly corrugated board packaging and is prepared for the challenges of these very unusual months and for the future.
