Shaping the future with the strategic approach “Panther pro nature”

With a long-term orientation, we make our contribution to protecting and preserving the environment (soil, air and water) and specifically improving the CO₂ footprint. This means the effects of our products on the CO₂ emissions of the entire production chain from raw material production to corrugated board production and processing to delivery to our customers. Along the entire value chain, we strive to reduce and substitute high-emission drivers while maintaining quality. Taking into account the respective circumstances of individual locations, measures have been defined with targets up to 2030, which are in line with German and European climate and environmental policies. Measures are, for example, that the entire Panther Group has been using CO₂-neutral electricity since 2021 or product innovations using grass paper and lightweight paper for flexo preprint (Panther Smart Print) for economical use of materials. Over the years, various products have been created under Panther pro nature.

The Panther Group – a climate-neutral company

We are aware that, in order to conduct our business, we cannot completely prevent the generation of greenhouse gas emissions from the production of corrugated packaging, displays or printed products. Therefore, as a CO₂ emitter, we understand the widespread term "climate neutrality" as a guiding principle for our daily actions and thoughts. We always ensure that our actions are carried out in a way that conserves resources. In addition, we offset the CO₂ emissions we cause and support a recognized climate protection project in the field of wind energy. As a partner in climate protection, we make a contribution to combating global warming and to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Although the generation of greenhouse gas emissions is unavoidable, our corrugated board products made from renewable raw materials are part of the circular economy. As a result, packaging and displays are returned to the cycle after use through recycling. Apart from that, the importance and thus the function of packaging should not be ignored, which per se contributes to the conservation of resources. Packaging offers directional protection: products or packaged goods are protected from external influences, but the environment is also protected from the packaged products.

With its circular products, targeted measures and the climate protection project, the Panther Group demonstrates a sense of responsibility and underscores its concept of sustainability.
