RRK Wellpappenfabrik invests again in quality and further growth

The recently commissioned rotary die cutter has, among other things, four inking units with drying, print image monitoring including ejection and packing robot. Complete camera surveillance of the entire system, optimized noise protection measures and consistent design using lean management and 5S methods create new, ultra-modern workplaces for the Panther Team on the line. The decision in favor of the machine was made against the background of increasing customer requirements for the quality of a wide variety of corrugated board packaging: Thanks to the latest process technology and quality monitoring, higher production speeds and the streamlined workflow, the RRK Wellpappenfabrik is increasing its capacities and also creating more flexibility with a view to customer requirements. Extensive work has been carried out at the Panther Plant in Bottrop since the spring to ensure optimum use of the machine properties. In order to optimize the long design of the machine, some of the infeed and outfeed were movable and positioned next to the line to optimize space. Internal adjustments to the building conditions, including a creative solution for transporting the punching waste and an extension for cliché and punching tool storage, complete the overall concept.

The new processing machine has been producing printed and die-cut packaging since the beginning of September, which will be followed by many millions of square meters of sophisticated, finished corrugated board over the next few years with the expanded capacities.
