Packaging Technologist

As a packaging technologist, you are responsible for ensuring that goods and products reach the customer undamaged. They develop and produce the packaging and displays that protect and promote sales.

Packaging technologists set up the technically demanding, computer-controlled high-performance machines, convert them to the respective requirements and ensure a trouble-free production process.

The development and production of tailor-made, environmentally friendly and innovative packaging and displays is part of your area of activity. They create the shell around food, equipment, components, toys or the sales-promoting display. The consumer goods industry in particular places high demands on functionality and design.

In addition, packaging technologists come to quality control and production planning. For an economic utilization of the machines is used in corrugated board production in the worked in shifts.

After successful apprenticeship, further training to become an industrial master craftsman, technician or bachelor's degree is possible. A specialization as a packaging developer or customer advisor is also possible in the course of the continuing career.
