Another folder gluer for Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik - Guarantees success for eCommerce

With a new folding carton gluer, Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik is getting another high-performance line to meet, among other things, the continuing growth in demand from customers in the Internet mail order business. This will double the plant's production capacity of packaging with automatic bottom and self-adhesive closure as well as tear-strip in this segment. As with its sister companies WS Coswiger Wellpappe- und Papierverarbeitung and Südwestkarton, Panther is thus also equipped at Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik to meet the demand for this corrugated board packaging quickly and efficiently. Since logistics in Internet commerce is particularly focused on high speed combined with easy handling and customer-friendly returns solutions, the various sizes of pre-bonded packaging are ideal companions for this growth industry.

The new folder gluer can produce a range from very small to very large packages. Optionally, two self-adhesive strips and a tear strip can be applied in a single operation. In this way, the cartons meet very essential requirements: The pre-glued bases as well as the sealing of the lids with the help of the first self-adhesive tape significantly reduce handling costs. The tear strip enables convenient opening of the packaging by the customer, and in the case of the return of goods ordered online by consumers, the second adhesive strip is used.

Concrete examples of packaging produced on the machine are shipping boxes for e-commerce and for calendar or book shipping, folding boxes with automatic bottom and erecting lid.

The technical features of the machine include straight gluing and three-, four- or six-point gluing. Various devices for easy, fast set-up ensure high production as well as work safety.
